Louis J. Kroeck IV

Attorney Louis Kroeck focuses his practice in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and the surrounding community. A highly rated attorney with over nine years of legal experience, Mr. Kroeck concentrates his practice primarily on civil litigation cases involving all types of tortious and liability issues, including personal injury claims, class action suits, insurance coverage disputes, civil rights violations, privacy rights and more. He also devotes a significant portion of his practice to matters involving intellectual property protection and litigation, entertainment law, copyright applications and infringements, technology law and other related areas.

A 2005 graduate of the Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Science in information science technology, Mr. Kroeck attended Case Western Reserve University School of Law, where he obtained his Juris Doctor in 2008. While in law school, he served as president for the Case Western Student Intellectual Property Law Association, treasurer for the Case Western Legal History Society and senior editor for the Case Western Internet Law Journal. In his final year of law school, he received the student leadership award.

Mr. Kroeck was admitted to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in 2009, and serves as a volunteer attorney for the American Civil Liberties Union in addition to his private legal practice.

Fully committed to his profession, Mr. Kroeck is active in a number of professional legal organizations. In addition to his membership with the Pennsylvania Bar Association, he is also a member of the Pittsburgh Intellectual Property Law Association, and has served as the chair of the Communications Committee and the Arts and Law committee for the Allegheny County Bar Association. In 2014, the Greater Pittsburgh Arts Council voted him volunteer lawyer of the year. He has also served as the editor in chief of the ACBA’s Point of Law legal journal.

An accomplished author and speaker, he has published numerous articles and conducted a number of lectures throughout the region and across the country on matters related to free speech, music-related legal issues, entertainment law, trademark law, software piracy and protection, and other similar subjects.





Jeff Mulrooney

Jeff handles intellectual property matters including the preparation and prosecution of patent, trademark, and copyright applications before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). He also has experience in the evaluation of intellectual property license agreements, patentability opinions, patent infringement and validity studies, and trademark clearance opinions. With a degree in Biomedical Engineering in addition to his law degree and a background that includes experience with a wide range of technologies including medical devices, material sciences, mechanical, electrical, chemical, energy, defense, and consumer products, Jeff is equipped with a toolset that he uses to fight for his clients’ best interests and goals.
